Evelyn's Baptism!!

B & I absolutely adore our God Children. It's such an honor to be asked to serve such an important role in ones childs life. We were asked to be (1 of 2 sets) God-Parents to our dear friends Steph & Jas' daughter, Evelyn Kate, and we really enjoyed spending their special day with them. With season in full force, and me leaving for our National Sales Meeting the same day, we didn't get to spend quite as much time with them as we'd prefer, but word on the street is that Jas may have an opportunity for a position at Wright State {wrong university} this summer so they may actually be moving to the big D! Holy crap-- I can't even let myself get excited about it. Neighbors again? Chillaxin' any day of the week with Easy E? ..... it would be a dream come true!! Here's to hoping.

Anywho, we had a great time the night before E's baptism spending time with the other set of G-P's, PJ from Houston and Alex in from Germany. As well as Aunt Lauren and the MK & D, the Grandparent's. Such a wonderful family they have, and I love em like they are my own. Evie is surrounded with so much LOVE and we all are so blessed to be a part of the 'village that raises her'. I mean, could she be any cuter? I think not.

Up to no good with Auntie Andi

Night out on the town!

Alex from Germany! {Her other GottMutti}

Progress!

I thought that 5 people actually followed my blog. However, people have been reaching out to ask about updates on my all natural break from meds, and I didn't even consider that they were reading this blog! So, luckily, I have great news to update! My herbal venture has been successful!! Although I'm not knocked up, the Vitex & Acupuncture lead to an ovulation & 5 day period-- holy Moses! The overall cycle was still long {per my norm} but it went off without a hitch. I now swear by this stuff & will continue to stay on it until proven otherwise.

To back track, I started to get impatient so I went into the doc on CD 40 like "ummm.... obviously my method isnt working, I guess I'll have to get back on the medicinal horse". So they did bloodwork and I assumed they would put me on Provera to induce a cycle and pick up like we did before. But, they ran my progesterone & oestrodiol levels and called me later that day to say "sit tight, you ovulated on your own. So, you'll either start in the next 7 days, or you're pregnant!" I have to honestly say, I was simply elated that my prayers came true that month & I had a sign of progression. At this point, I just wanted to know that I don't need all this doc/ RX garb and that my body is functioning just fine & moving at a pace that's healthy for it to. And it worked! For someone as erratic as me to get into a sync is a huge accomplishment. No feeling miserable, no doc appointments weekly. Just good ol health & wellness. While I don't think I'll ever be like clockwork, I feel sound that I've made progress. Vitex is supposed to shorten your cycles the longer it's taken (daily at 1000 mg) and this was the first month, so on to the next. Very pleased so far.

Yay me! :)

WAIT

Oh, this poem, I tell ya, it nearly brought me to tears it spoke to me so! Figured I'd share to anyone else out there on their own journey of patience. It shed a light of patience on me. Enjoy!

WAIT

Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried.
Quietly, patiently, lovingly, He replied.
I pleaded, and I wept for a clue to my fate,
And the Master so gently said, “Child, you must wait”.

“Wait? You say wait?” my indignant reply.
“Lord, I need answers, I need to know why.
Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By faith I have asked, and I’m claiming your Word.

“My future, and all to which I can relate
Hangs in the balance, and you tell me ‘wait’?
'I need a ‘yes’, a go-ahead sign,’
Or even a ‘no’, to which I can resign.

“And Lord, you have promised that if we believe,
We need but to ask, and we shall receive.
And Lord I’ve been asking, and this is my cry:
I’m weary of asking: I need a reply!”

Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate
As my Master replied once again, “You must wait.”
So I slumped in my chair; defeated and taut
And grumbled to God; “So I’m waiting, for what?”

He seemed then to kneel and his eyes met with mine
And He tenderly said, “I could give you a sign.
I could shake the heavens, darken the sun,
Raise the dead, cause the mountains to run.

“All you see I could give, and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want, but you wouldn’t know Me.
You’d not known the depth of My love for each saint;
You’d not know the power that I give to the faint.

“You’d not learn to see through clouds of despair;
You’d not learn to trust, just by knowing I’m there.
You’d not know the joy of resting in Me,
When darkness and silence was all you could see.

“You would never experience that fullness of love
As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove.
You would know that I give, and I save, for a start,
But you’d not know the depth of the beat of My heart.

“The glow of My comfort late in the night;
The faith that I give when you walk without sight;
The depth that’s beyond getting just what you ask
From an infinite God who makes what you have last.

“And you never would know, should your pain quickly flee,
What it means that ‘My grace is sufficient for thee.’
Yes, your dreams for that loved one o’ernight could come true,
But the loss! if you lost what I’m doing in you.

“So be silent, my child, and in time you will see
That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.
And though oft’ may My answers seem terribly late,
My most precious answer of all… is still… wait.
