What an awesome Easter weekend it was! We had alot of windshield time starting with our day trip Saturday to Lexington, KY { Keeneland } to see some horse racing. I love going back to Lexington, where I grew up, it's always a blast. My sister organized the trip and we joined her and her friends Nicole and Naz for a fun couples extravaganza. My husband is obsessed with horse racing & came quite organized with his paperwork of who he's betting on and an organized spreadsheet of each horses racing odds, etc. It was pretty hilarious and all worth it when we left up $150! Not a lot of money, but I also held his allowance {we are closing on a house in a week ya'll} but I'll take it! We decided to dress the part this time & had such a great time during a beautiful sunny and 75 Spring day!!

Our sweet Atticus turned 7 as well on Saturday, so we came home to love on him. I can't believe this big ol' sweetie is 7. Every year our furbabies get older I get a bit sad and more dreadful of the "Rainbow Bridge" that we never know when they'll cross over. I can't imagine our lives without their love. We brought him a burger & gave him a nice long brush outside{his favorite} to cele! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATTY MONSTER!! WE LOVE YOU YOU BIG OL LUG OF LOVE!

Saturday we drove to Shelby, to the church I grew up at to hear my Dad, Papaw and others preach and watch a beautiful baptism. The weather was beautiful again and the service was wonderful. We cooked out at my grandparents house with cousins and family to follow who we don't get to see as often as we'd like to; all in all it was a wonderful Easter weekend. I mean seriously, how cute are my grandparents? Their marriage motto: never stop having fun with each other. Clearly it's working after 60 years together. They got married when Mamaw was 17.
We are so very grateful for our God who died on the cross for the sake of our lives. Sharing this day with our family which have all been blessed by Him is so humbling. I think often how lucky I am that I was placed into this family of mine. I hope you also had a blessed, beautiful Easter weekend!
